I find being a collector it is almost impossible to be minimal. The hardest task is to edit. I love my books, glass pieces and all sorts of objects and sometimes I just love doing a 'coffee table scape' out of lots of the one thing. In an ideal world we would rotate objects and art, store in cupboards, and take them out every so often for an airing! It's so hard not to have everything we own on show at the same time, is it not? Shame about dust!!!!
My name is Eliza Ashe and I’m a Sydney-based writer and stylist. Until recently, I was the beauty and lifestyle editor at Aussie magazine SHOP Til You Drop. I've got a serious soft spot for mid-century furniture, turquoise is my hue of choice, Elle Decor is my bible and gin and tonic is my poison. You can also find me over at theEDIT.com.au.
Oh, and if you'd like to flick me an email, please do at elizaashe@gmail.com.
Enjoy!
Depends on the season, the mood and the occasion, I reckon. There is a time for both.
