(Bumper-sized) Sneak Peek Inside: Opening Ceremony's Kate Foley's New York Apartment

Unbeknownst to her, we have a ton of things in common:
  • I love Bearbricks; she collects them like they're going out of fashion.
  • I dream of living in a loft apartment; she owns one.
And so the list goes on...

.

I'd move in tomorrow.

How do you like to style/organise/hide your paperbacks?

Happy Hump Day

Here's a little something to cheer you up on this windy wet Wednesday. What you're looking at friends is the bright/happy/bold inspirational desk of artist/bed linen whiz Rachel Castle. Just looking at it makes me happy.

I styled her in her home last year for SHOP Til You Drop magazine and she's hands-down one of the nicest, most talented ladies I've ever met. If you haven't been over to her online shop, you're missing out, big time.

Here's her at-home pop-up gallery, conveniently located near the dining table. Way to impress your dinner guests, I say.

Snooping Inside Katherine Power's Hollywood Hills Home

I've been hooked on Who What Wear for years now. It's one of a handful of style sites I read religiously. Here's a sneak peek inside the digs of its co-creator, Katherine Power's LA home that I just know you're gonna love. BTW, I want that blue pant suit badly....

Did You Know I'm Now A Guest In The Blogosphere?

So, as of 10.30am this morning, I am officially (amongst other things) a Guest Blogger. My first ever guest blog is up over at paper giant, Cristina Re and I'm a little giddy with excitement.

Here's a snippet, but you should definitely skip/hop/jump or click over to their blog to appreciate it in all its glory.

Spoiler Alert! They've also got free shipping Australia wide for orders over 100 big ones for a limited time only. My vote goes to the signature soap and candle range - they make for unreal pressies for the friend (and mum) in your life who has absolutely everything.

Enjoy!

Idea # 1573 I wish I'd thought of: Magazine Seats.

My gosh I could do with a few of theses around the joint. What a genius idea!

Try Something New Tuesday: Badge Art

It's been a while since I did one of these, folks, so let's take baby steps, starting with this glue-gun, paint-tin free badge art.

Rockett St George

You'll need:

  • That jar of badges you've been hanging on to since high school.

  • 1x white frame.

  • 1x piece of white cardboard or fabric to pin the badges to.

  • Sticky tape to secure the fabric/cardboard to the backing board of the frame.

Too easy, right?

Snippets from the weekend

It started with a breakfast of champions that went a little something like this...

Followed by a bunch of tulips from a friend (I love when birthdays kick on for weeks)...

Matched with Massive Shoe envy. My four year old niece, A, has no idea how cool she is.

And ended like this... the spare room bursting at the seems with goodies for an upcoming shoot. I currently have enough cot quilts and baby blankets to keep an entire village warm. No lie.

Thanks for the lovin', Madison

I just discovered a little HouseMad loving over at Madison mag's site. Their Lifestyle Editor, LP,(the one responsible for including HouseMad in her list of favourite blogs) also happens to be one of the most divine creatures I know.

HouseMad "Inventive DIY home and gift ideas combined with delightful pictures and again, simply divine spaces. Too cute."

Head in the clouds

I'm in the middle of prepping for a kids bedroom shoot and I'm sensing clouds are where the magic is at. Kind of fitting for winter really, especially considering the torrential rain we've been getting in Sydney...

Match-it buy: You can get in on the act with this Donna Wilson Cloudy Cuddly Cushion from one of my all-time favourite lifestyle stores, Safari Living, for just $79. Waaah. I want one.
