Try it now: putting pen to paper
I love a bit of pen-to-paper action. There’s something ridiculously alluring (and sophisticated) about penning a lovely thank you note. Especially on top-notch stationary. I blame my addiction on the kind people at French Navy and Papier d’Amour who kindly sent me a box of personalised thank you notes at the start of the year. These classics from French Navy are next on my hit list:

Dear Julia Restoin Rotfield, I reckon we’re related.
The Kiehl’s, the YSL, the Mario Bedescu? Judging by our bathroom vanities, we’re practically twins, but when it comes to decorating, I'd say we're more like second cousins. Not to say I don’t love ultra minimalism because I do, I'm all for it. It’s just not what I expected from JRR. The pics kind of feel a little bare, as if she's just moved in and half her junk is still in storage, but then she makes up for it with the stack of Vogues, shoes and those little dolls on the bedside.

Numero uno on my invite-to-dinner wish list: Jonathan Adler
I first discovered his ceramic and furniture genius in Domino magazine a couple of years back and continue to think the man's talent (and wit) is straight up ridiculous. His book, 'My Prescription For Anti-Depressive Living' is what it is: better than therapy. He also has a site,www.jonathanadler.com, where you can spend up big, but I suggest you read his blog first - it's much cheaper: huffingtonpost.com/jonathan-adler.
